Crafty Chatters
Do you enjoy craft? A few of us will be getting together to craft, have a chat and catch up over a cup of tea or coffee. We meet on the 1st Friday of every month from 7.30pm - 9pm. If you are interested in coming along or want to know more, have a chat with Sue Rock or Ruth Evans. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO SESSION ON THE 6TH DECEMBER
Coffee Mornings and Service
The coffee mornings take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We also have a monthly daytime service with traditional hymns and a short reflection at 11 am on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
The next coffee morning is on the 10th December
Christmas Postbox
It's that time of year again!-the Bethel postbox is out for you to post your Christmas cards to your friends here at Bethel. Please post to people that you know attend regularly and will be able to pick them up. The deadline for posting is the 8th December
If anyone can help to organise the cards in the week commencing 9th December, please let Lorraine in the office know.
Christmas Cards on the Noticeboard
If you would prefer to write one card to Bethel and donate the money you would have spent on cards, please pin your card on the noticeboard in the lounge. There is also an envelope for donations for this year's chosen charity (tbc) Many thanks.
Christmas Season Events
There are many activities/services taking place during the Christmas season. It would be great to see you here. Think about who you could invite along! We have various cards advertising upcoming events as well. Please take some and give them out to anyone you can think of, or perhaps post through your neighbours' letterbox.
Jack & the Beanstalk Schools Show
One week done and one to go!! Please pray for energy and enthusiasm for Jon and Tim as they present the show and and further engagement with pupils and staff from local schools.
Jack & the Beanstalk Community Show
This will be on
Friday 6th December at 7pm and is completely free! Let's fill the church as we see the Christian message presented in a fresh and entertaining way. Please share with your friends and invite people along!
Complin (Overjoyed)
These services will be taking place on the evenings of the
1st, 8th and 15th of December at 6 pm. A time to sit back and reflect during this busy season.
Reindeer Run
We will be involved in this event on

Livewires Carols
15th December in the morning service. Come along and support our young people as they share the Christmas message with us
Community Nativity "Prepare him Room"
We have the opportunity to put on an outdoor nativity at Whitchurch Library Gardens on
Sunday 15th December at 4.30 pm. It will be great to see the whole community being blessed by the Christmas message
A Celtic Christmas
Carol service taking place at
6pm on Sunday 22nd December in the church, followed by warm mince pies and alcohol free mulled wine.
Christmas Day Service
Come along as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour. Children can bring their Christmas gifts to show us as well!
Alpha Course
Starting here at Bethel on the 14th January and running for 12 sessions. Let's get praying together now... what if every one of us invited just one person along!
Youth Alpha
There will also be a Youth Alpha course running weekly at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings from the 22nd January. We will be alternating with Rhiwbina Baptist church to be the venue for this exciting event
Bethel Tots
We are so excited that this will be starting on 15th January on Wednesday afternoons from 1-2.30 pm. For little ones and their parents/guardians. Refreshments, toys, together play and story time and a chance to get together with others. Please tell anyone you think might be interested.
Spring Cleaning and Maintenance Days-Volunteers Needed!
We will be having a spring clean /clear out one week in the church followed by a working day the next weekend. The dates are the 11th January for the Spring clean and 18th January for the working party. It would be great if you would be able to come to help with clearing out and cleaning on 11th and for a variety of maintenance jobs on the 18th .
Bins
As you may be aware, in the church porch , lounge and hall we have three separate bins (one for general waste and the other two for specific recycling items) When you dispose of rubbish, if you could place it in the appropriate bin we would really appreciate it. We now have the same category of outside bins so it will be easier to transfer rubbish from the inside to outside bins if the correct items are put in the appropriate bin. Bethel Tots – Creche – for Babies to Reception age
Crèche is available in the Church Lounge during the morning service, Parents are advised to stay with their children. A live stream of the service is available.
Bethel Kids – Sunday – School years 1 – 4
Meeting in the Church Hall during the morning service. Come along for fun, Bible stories and games.
Bethel Teens – Sunday – School Years 5 – 9
Meeting in the Church Hall during the morning service. We have a great time, playing some games and looking in the Bible for lessons it can give us, for how we live today,

Weekly Groups
Bethel Kids Club on a Friday night between 6pm and 7:15pm in the usual place, this is still for school years 4 - 7. Please encourage the young people to share with friends
Bethel Youth on a Friday night between 7pm and 9pm for School Years 7 - 13
You will notice a slight overlap in time and ages, this is so the kids and youth are familiar with one another and it makes transition between the groups easier in the long run.
