Cardiff 5K Race Help
On Sunday evening (1st May) we will see hundreds of people come to Whitchurch for the Cardiff 5k race. Bethel has once again been asked to provide a 'bag drop' and elite athlete lounge. This is an ideal opportunity to meet and chat to folk who wouldn't usually come into a church, as well as meeting a practical need.If you are free on Sunday 1st May between 5pm and around 8pm, we'd love some help with meeting and chatting to runners, and taking and storing kit bags. Numbers of volunteers (and weather) permitting it would also be fab to be able to offer hot drinks to those coming to Bethel. Please let Karen or Steve Chadwell know if you're able to help (chadwellkgw@cf.ac.uk, 07951 383485) Many thanks.

Bethel Youth – Sunday – School Years 10 – 13
We will be watching the evening service together and using the questions or Scripture to discuss application or findings from what we have heard, followed by some social time to decompress, and chat about life together.
This group will be flexible depending on the caution needed with corona case numbers. Whilst we aim to meet for in-person gatherings as much as possible, where this is not safe or possible due to isolation, we can also meet using Zoom.

Accommodation Help
Please see a message for someone looking for accomodation in the Cardiff area. If you can help or know of any rental properties , please contact Lorraine in the Church Office
"My wife, children, and I are relocating to Cardiff as I take up a lectureship at the University this summer. We're excited to be coming to a city with such a rich Christian heritage and vibrant community of churches. We're emailing to ask if you - or any of the fellowship at Bethel Baptist Church - are aware of any accommodation in the Whitchurch area that is available to rent from May for around 9 to 12 months. We're hoping to find a three-bedroom home, with parking, and we're fortunate to be in a position where we can pay standard, commercial rents. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please do not hesitate to get in contact with us if there are any questions."
